A lone man facing an immense cloud above a pale, open landscape.

THE CLOUD MUST BE OPEN.

Cloud Agents must be open-source.

You will soon have 1,000+ agents running at all times.

And these agents will be doing the vast majority of your tasks.

However, this simply cannot be done on your laptop. Even with just 20+ agents running locally you will run into serious issues.

Random windows popping up, laptop fans going crazy, battery draining fast, agents trying to use your browser...

You may not encounter these issues with 1-2 agents, however you must look into the future.

All of us have more agents today than we had 12 months ago.

And this trend is going to continue! You will soon have hundreds (and then thousands) of AI Agents working for you. Every day, 24/7.

But your personal computer simply cannot handle that many agents running at once.

The solution is obvious... Cloud Agents.

Agents running on cloud machines, with stable internet connection, working on long-running tasks, even when your laptop is closed.

You can have as many agents are you want. You can have each agent in an isolated environment. You can run each agent in YOLO mode. You can connect from anywhere.

Cloud Agents are the future.

However, all of the Cloud Agent solutions available today are CLOSED!

No matter if you try Cursor, Codex, Amp, or Devin... all of these platforms are closed-source.

They force you to use their subscription, their own GUI, their own harness... AND, they have insane levels of ecosystem lock-in.

That changes today.

Cloudroom is an open-source platform for running Cloud Agents.

You can use any subscription, any harness, any GUI app, and you have full control over your agent traces.

Plus, you can host Cloudroom on any machine you want!

A spare laptop, a mac mini at your office, a random VPS you have, or anything else that runs linux.

Cloudroom is world's first 100% open-source and free Cloud Agents solution.

With Cloudroom, you can keep using your current setup, while easily launching agents in the cloud.

It's still in beta, so expect some rough edges... after all, I've built Cloudroom in less than two weeks.

So if you have any ideas how to improve it, just create an Issue or PR on the github repo, and if it makes sense I'll merge it.

Cloudroom has 3 main pieces: (1) the Core, (2) the GUI, and (3) the Web app.

Today, I'm open-sourcing the Rust core, arguably the most important piece of the system.

And in the coming days I will also open-source the GUI app as well.

AI is the most important technology of all time.

A closed-source company should not have control over your agent traces, over your harness, and over which models you can use.

Cloud Agents must be open-source. And I'll work very hard to make that a reality.
