What Cloudroom collects, and how to turn it off. Updated September 25, 2026.
Desktop app
- The desktop app sends anonymous usage events: app starts, new threads and messages sent (and whether they run on your computer or in the cloud), how long the first reply took, and plugin installs.
- Each event includes the app version, your operating system and chip type, and which agent you used.
- It never sends your prompts, messages, code, files, or file names.
- Events carry a random ID created on your computer. It is not linked to your name or email.
- Events go to PostHog, our analytics provider, in the US. Like any web request, PostHog also sees your IP address.
To turn it off, open Settings → Privacy & diagnostics and switch off “Share anonymous usage data”. Or run room-cli settings general telemetryEnabled false.
Website
- Vercel Web Analytics counts page views. It records the page path, not query strings.
- When you join the waitlist, we store your answers, including your email and, if you share it, your phone number. We use them to review your application and contact you about access.
- When you sign in, Supabase stores your account email and login provider.
