What is Cloudroom?
Cloudroom runs AI coding agents like Claude Code, Codex, and Pi Agent. One app runs them on your Mac or in the cloud. Cloud threads run each agent in its own cloud sandbox, so work continues when your laptop is closed.
Can I use Cloudroom today?
Not for everyone yet. We’re letting people in gradually, so Cloudroom stays fast and secure. Join the waitlist with just your email, and we’ll send you an invite code. A friend who uses Cloudroom can also give you one.
Which coding agents does Cloudroom support?
Claude Code, Codex, and Pi Agent, on both Local and Cloud threads. Cursor CLI support is in testing.
Will my agents keep working when my laptop is closed?
Yes, on Cloud threads. Once a task reaches the cloud, the agent keeps working and its history is saved. Local threads stop when your Mac sleeps.
Pricing
How much does Cloudroom cost?
Cloudroom is fully free and open source.
Do I pay Cloudroom for model usage?
No. Your agents use your own subscriptions and model accounts, and call providers directly. Cloudroom adds no markup on tokens.
Security and data
Can one agent see another user's work?
No. Each Cloud thread runs in its own isolated sandbox. The agent has full admin rights inside it, but no access to other users or other sandboxes. Subagents share their thread's sandbox. See Security.
Where do my API keys go?
When an agent needs a key, you enter it in a secure form. The key never appears in the chat, history, or logs.
Who owns my agent history?
You do. Your files, conversations, and traces are your data. The Core that stores them is open source.
Open source
Is Cloudroom open source?
Yes. The Cloudroom Core is open source under Apache 2.0 on GitHub.
Can I self-host Cloudroom?
The Rust Core is built to run on your own Linux machine with PostgreSQL. Managed hosting is optional. A polished self-hosting guide is still being prepared.
